WWE Superstar Set to Debut New Theme at SummerSlam, Hinting at Major Character Shift

A major shake-up is coming to the sound of one of WWE’s most iconic superstars.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Becky Lynch is preparing to unveil brand-new entrance music, and it’s not just a remix — it’s a full transformation. The new theme was reportedly recorded by acclaimed American pop-punk band The Wonder Years, marking a bold stylistic shift for "The Man."
🎤 Goodbye "Celtic Invasion," Hello Lyrics
The upcoming theme will be Lynch’s first entrance track to feature full lyrics, replacing her longtime instrumental “Celtic Invasion,” which she’s used for nearly a decade. That original track was composed by former WWE music producers CFO$, who were responsible for many iconic themes throughout the 2010s.
Per the report, The Wonder Years completed the track “a number of months ago,” and WWE has been working behind the scenes to align the launch with the right moment. That moment may be SummerSlam, where Lynch is set to defend her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Lyra Valkyria in a No Disqualification match.
🚨 The Wonder Years Bring a New Edge
This change also stands out because most of today’s WWE themes are produced by the in-house team Def Rebel. Bringing in an outside band — especially one with a strong cult following like The Wonder Years — signals a creative shift and potentially a new chapter for Becky’s character.
Lynch recently teased the new music via her Instagram Story, and Fightful has confirmed that her post was indeed a nod to the upcoming theme.

Becky Lynch has always evolved with the times — from Irish Lass Kicker to The Man to Big Time Becks. But changing your theme music just before a massive SummerSlam title match? That’s deliberate. WWE clearly wants this moment to feel like the start of a new era for Lynch. Whether it leads to a heel turn, a character refresh, or a renewed babyface run remains to be seen — but one thing’s certain: all eyes (and ears) will be on her entrance this weekend.
