Booker T on Raja Jackson and Syko Stu Incident: “Plenty of Blame to Go Around”

The fallout from the shocking Raja Jackson attack on indie wrestler Syko Stu at a KnokX Pro event continues to ripple through the wrestling world. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is the latest legend to weigh in, offering his unfiltered thoughts on the matter during his Hall of Fame podcast.
Booker didn’t mince words, calling the assault “egregious” and “aggravated assault at the least.” He emphasized that not only should Raja Jackson be held accountable, but so should anyone who allowed the situation to unfold inside the ring.
“Anybody who had a part of that should take a little bit of the blame,” Booker said. “This was something that should’ve never happened. Across the board, safety wasn’t the priority — and that’s rule number one in this business.” - Booker T
Safety Breakdown at KnokX Pro
Booker, who has run his Reality of Wrestling school and promotion for two decades, pointed to a complete breakdown in protocol at KnokX Pro. He was particularly struck by how Syko Stu appeared to “give his body” to Jackson, not resisting when he was lifted for the devastating slam — only for the assault to escalate with repeated strikes after Stu was already unconscious.
“He didn’t fight against it,” Booker observed. “He took the bump, and the bump was so devastating it knocked him out. At that point the match should’ve been over. But then to add more blows to an unconscious man — that’s something I cannot condone in any way, shape, or form.” - Said Booker
Booker underlined what every veteran in the business knows: non-wrestlers or untrained performers should never be put into physical angles without exhaustive planning and protection. He noted that in his own promotion, every appearance by an outside figure — whether a celebrity, musician, or returning name — is rehearsed and checked repeatedly with safety as the guiding principle.
Sympathy for Both Sides — But No Excuse
While Booker condemned Raja Jackson’s actions, he also acknowledged the reality of the fallout:
“I feel like Raja Jackson is in a bad position too. He didn’t wake up that morning thinking he’d be dealing with lawyers and DAs. But that’s the situation now. This is just the beginning of the fallout.” - Booker T
Booker stressed that Syko Stu’s safety was disregarded in the moment, calling the incident “100% preventable.” He also pointed out that anyone trying to frame the attack as a “work” is ignoring the obvious:
“I didn’t see Syko Stu throw a punch. I saw a man give his body up and almost lose his life in that ring. If anybody thinks that’s right, they don’t understand this business.” Booker T added

Booker T’s comments echo what we’ve been reporting for days now — this wasn’t just an isolated mistake, it was a catastrophic failure of responsibility at multiple levels. Raja Jackson may be the one who threw the punches, but KnokX Pro created the environment where it was possible.
The biggest takeaway? The culture of safety in pro wrestling has to mean something. Veterans like Booker hammer home that trust and protection are sacred in the ring. When those principles are broken, the results are tragic — as Syko Stu’s critical condition reminds us.
Booker’s blunt assessment underscores a growing consensus: this incident wasn’t just about one man losing his temper, it was about an indie promotion putting spectacle ahead of professionalism.
