Jazmyn Nyx Confirms WWE Exit – What’s Next for the Former NXT Star

Just one day after being written off WWE NXT television, Jazmyn Nyx has gone public to confirm the rumors: she is leaving WWE after declining to sign a new deal.

Nyx Speaks Out

Taking to social media, Nyx (real name Jade Arianna Gentile) addressed the situation directly:

“As you know, there’s been things circulating and I wanna just set the record straight that I am not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and for my future personally. The contract that they were offering me for the next three years just wasn’t going to cut it for me financially, and that’s okay.”

Nyx went on to thank fans for their support, reflecting on her unique journey from professional soccer in Iceland to WWE’s Performance Center. She opened up about her struggles with multiple injuries, including four knee surgeries, a broken nose, and concussions that kept her out of action at different points in her career.

“I love my Jazmyn Nyx fans. Thank you guys so much for supporting me and having my back for the past three years. It’s been an amazing journey and I will miss you guys. And yeah, that is it for Jazmyn Nyx.”

From Soccer Pitch to NXT

Before wrestling, Gentile was a professional soccer player, competing for Icelandic club UMF Afturelding. Signed to WWE in 2022, she debuted on live events the following year and made her TV debut in 2024 with Chase University, later joining the Fatal Influence faction alongside Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley.

Her departure was written into this week’s NXT storyline, where Jayne and Henley attacked her backstage and branded her “dead weight” before officially kicking her out of the group.

What’s Next?

With her WWE deal set to expire in October 2025, Nyx will soon be free to explore her options in wrestling—or even return to professional soccer. She hinted at wanting to take opportunities she previously had to decline while under contract, leaving the door wide open for appearances in promotions like AEW, TNA, or even a return to athletics outside of wrestling.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

Jazmyn Nyx’s departure highlights a recurring theme in WWE’s developmental system: talent weighing financial stability against the grind of NXT’s schedule. Nyx clearly valued her worth and chose not to lock herself into a deal she didn’t feel reflected her contributions.

From a creative standpoint, Fatal Influence losing Nyx so soon after gaining traction is a blow. Still, WWE moving quickly to write her out shows how the company prioritizes forward momentum when contract renewals fall through.

For Nyx, this could be an opportunity. Whether she continues wrestling elsewhere or returns to her soccer roots, her athletic background and resilience through injuries mean she has options beyond WWE’s system.
