WWE SmackDown October Schedule: Locations, Ticket Prices, Crown Jewel Build, and Why Fans Still Feel Overcharged

WWE’s blue brand is taking its weekly spectacle across the United States and overseas this October, including a sold-out international stop in Australia and a Halloween-themed event in Salt Lake City. While ticket prices for SmackDown are slightly more affordable than Raw, they remain steep—especially when factoring in the economic realities for many local markets.

💸 Still Overpriced, Even When “Cheaper”

On paper, SmackDown ticket prices look friendlier than Raw’s—Cincinnati’s show offers entry at just $47 (nose bleed seats, fyi). But when considering the local median individual income in Ohio of only $37,812, even those “cheaper” tickets quickly feel out of reach once service fees, taxes, and parking are factored in.

Elsewhere, ringside prices stretch into the thousands, with San Jose’s premium seats topping $2,000. For fans weighing whether to see SmackDown live or stream it at home, the pricing gap is becoming harder to justify—especially as many argue WWE’s 2025 product has lacked consistency. For weekly television shows these prices are absolutely ridiculous, period.

🏆 The Crown Jewel Connection

SmackDown in October isn’t just about weekly shows—it’s the final stretch toward WWE Crown Jewel on October 11. Storylines are building across both brands, with:

  • Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins confirmed for the World Heavyweight Championship.
  • Roman Reigns, prominently featured on the Crown Jewel poster, sparking speculation about his involvement.
  • Gunther expected to make a surprise return at Crown Jewel, with his image already showing up on ticket advertisements for the Oct. 13 Raw in Perth.
  • Women’s division angles heating up with Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Stephanie Vaquer all slated for major appearances.

The October 10 SmackDown in Perth—just one night before Crown Jewel—could provide critical storyline moments leading directly into the premium live event.

🎃 SmackDown’s Halloween Special

The Oct. 31 show in Salt Lake City is being advertised as a Halloween-themed edition of SmackDown. With only 5% of tickets remaining, the event has become one of WWE’s hottest tickets of the fall. Expect a mix of costumed segments, spooky presentation, and perhaps even a special return or surprise finish.

🗣️ Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

While SmackDown’s ticket floor is technically lower than Raw’s, the reality is that WWE’s pricing model continues to alienate casual fans. Asking families in markets like Ohio to spend upwards of $250 for two upper-level seats after fees is, frankly, outrageous—especially for a product that has struggled to maintain momentum throughout much of 2025.

At the same time, WWE’s reliance on spectacle—international tours, Halloween-themed shows, and the looming spectacle of Crown Jewel—ensures that die-hard fans remain invested. The return of Gunther and possible involvement of Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel may deliver the kind of spark needed to justify the hype, but WWE risks pricing out the very audience that fuels its week-to-week energy. At the end of the day, WWE/TKO Executives are out of touch with realty.
