WWE is doubling down on its newest faction. On September 29, the company filed trademarks for the names “Bravo Americano” and “Rayo Americano,” solidifying the identities of the masked luchadors who have been accompanying El Grande Americano in recent weeks.

From Anonymous Masks to Official Identities

What began as a mysterious trio of masked men has now taken shape. The wrestlers initially entered the scene under the placeholder identities of El Grande Americano Dos and Tres—with speculation swirling that the performers under the masks were none other than former NXT standouts Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne.

During Monday’s WWE Raw broadcast, play-by-play announcer Joe Tessitore officially revealed the names:

  • Bravo Americano (blue mask)
  • Rayo Americano (red mask)

Together with El Grande Americano, the faction is now formally recognized as Los Americanos.

Trademark Filing Details

WWE’s trademark application covers a broad range of entertainment-related services, including:

  • Wrestling exhibitions and live performances.
  • Television, radio, and digital broadcasts.
  • Online wrestling news and community content.
  • Fan club services and live event experiences.

The filing makes clear that WWE sees commercial potential in the Americano gimmick, with plans that may extend far beyond in-ring performances.

Los Americanos in Action

Bravo and Rayo have already begun carving out their roles, recently teaming with Americano to back up Dominik Mysterio and entering tag team competition against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee last night on Raw. While still early in their run, the trio is quickly gaining traction as a heel unit that combines mystery with chaos.

Wrestling.news | Backstage Take

WWE trademarking Bravo and Rayo signals that Los Americanos are here to stay. The company doesn’t go through the hassle of filing names unless there are creative and marketing plans attached, which means you can expect to see a lot more of this faction.

The question is how far WWE is willing to push the Americano act. Will Bravo and Rayo be presented as serious contenders, or simply henchmen for Dominik Mysterio’s never-ending escapes? Either way, the faction adds depth to Raw’s midcard and gives Dom fresh muscle to hide behind.
