AEW Collision Preview - August 30, 2025: The Road to All Out, Blood & Guts Teasers, and What’s Next for Kyle Fletcher

AEW returns to Philadelphia’s historic 2300 Arena tonight for the third straight week of Collision, and while the official card is light, the fallout from Forbidden Door has left plenty of intrigue heading into the show.
🔥 The Protochamp Era Rolls On
At Forbidden Door, Kyle Fletcher continued his impressive reign as TNT Champion by defeating NJPW’s Hiromu Takahashi inside London’s sold-out O2 Arena. With Don Callis by his side, Fletcher has quickly grown into one of AEW’s most consistent performers, defending the belt against all challengers.
The Don Callis Family has been picking up momentum, and Fletcher’s presence as the “Protochamp” suggests he could be the centerpiece of an even bigger power shift in AEW. The question now: who steps up next to challenge him?

💥 Women’s Division Civil War — Blood & Guts on the Horizon?
The women’s division remains in chaos following weeks of escalating hostilities. On one side, the Triangle of Madness — Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue — have been reinforced by Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. Across the battlefield, Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale have reluctantly aligned with Queen Aminata and Harley Cameron.
At Forbidden Door: Zero Hour, their all-star eight-woman tag match descended into chaos, spilling over later in the night when Aminata was blindsided by Julia and Skye. The beatdown was halted by the surprise return of Jamie Hayter, who evened the odds.
With both sides now sitting at five members apiece, the signs all point to something historic: AEW’s first-ever Women’s Blood & Guts Match. Could Philadelphia be the stage where the company finally pulls the trigger?
👊 Collision’s Announced Match: Juice Robinson vs. Big Bill
The only officially confirmed match for tonight is a singles bout between Juice Robinson and Big Bill. The bad blood stems from their chaotic involvement in the $200,000 four-way tag match weeks ago, and now both men are set to settle the score one-on-one. Expect a hard-hitting affair, tailor-made for the intimate intensity of the 2300 Arena.

🎙 Wrestling.news | Backstage Take
AEW Collision may not have the deepest card on paper tonight, but the storytelling is doing the heavy lifting. Kyle Fletcher’s TNT run is becoming a defining stretch for him, and pairing that with the slow-burn build to AEW’s first Women’s Blood & Guts is creating an atmosphere where Collision feels essential.
With Juice vs. Big Bill as the night’s confirmed bout, don’t be surprised if AEW leans on surprises, promos, and run-ins to set the stage for bigger announcements leading into the fall. For a brand built on chaos and momentum, Philadelphia could once again be the perfect proving ground.
