WWE Women’s World Championship – Triple Threat Match
Naomi (c) def. Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley
Less than a month removed from her shocking Money in the Bank cash-in at Evolution, Naomi found herself defending against the two women she dethroned—Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. Early on, the former champs worked together to punish Naomi, sending her outside the ring and temporarily making it a one-on-one showdown.
Iyo and Rhea traded stiff strikes and high-impact moves, showcasing their long-standing rivalry, but Naomi returned with a burst of momentum. She nailed Ripley with a Full Nelson Bomb for a close near-fall and countered Sky’s moonsault attempts with creative reversals. The crowd came alive as all three women threw everything they had into a fast-paced closing stretch.
In the end, Naomi countered an Avalanche Riptide into a surprise pinning combination, stunning both opponents and retaining her title.

A strong opener filled with action and creativity, though it didn’t quite reach the emotional intensity of Night 1.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – TLC Match
The Wyatt Sicks (c) def. #DIY vs. Street Profits vs. Fraxiom vs. MCMG vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix
This chaotic TLC war featured broken ladders, shattered tables, and nonstop action. Each team had their moment to shine—from Fraxiom’s high-flying insanity to the Profits unleashing wild double-team spots. Andrade and Fenix earned some of the night’s biggest crowd reactions, while the Motor City Machine Guns delivered stiff kicks and veteran precision.
#DIY nearly pulled off the win, with Johnny Gargano getting fingertips on the belts—only to be thrown from the ladder by Joe Gacy. In the end, the Wyatt Sicks once again used brutal efficiency to retain, climbing through the carnage to stay champions.

High on spectacle, but low on storytelling clarity. Memorable, but hard to follow at times.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship – No Disqualification Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria - Becky gets the win to retain her title.
As previously reported here at Wrestling.news, we were expecting a new theme song and entrance to be debuted at SummerSlam, and we did but what was strange is the announcers went radio silent during her entrance and there was no information or clarification this was a new theme song, weird. However, she came down the ring looking FIRED up, ring crew let off a ton of smoke (no fireworks) still looked awesome and stylish. Huge theme music upgrade, definitely overdue.
This brutal No DQ bout showed a new side of Valkyria, who immediately targeted Lynch’s ribs and brought out chairs, kendo sticks, and even zip ties. At one point, she zip-tied Becky’s hands and moonsaulted onto her defenseless body—drawing gasps from the Las Vegas crowd.
But “The Man” isn’t easily outdone. Becky broke free and returned fire with vicious suplexes and chair shots before planting Lyra with a Manhandle Slam onto a steel chair to retain the title.

An intense and violent showcase for both women, with Lyra proving she belongs in the top tier.

United States Championship – Steel Cage Match
Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu - Sikoa retains his US Championship
This one had all the ingredients for violence and drama—but it didn’t quite land with the New Jersey crowd. Both men opened with stiff strikes and wild cage spots, but the energy felt flat despite the personal storyline. Fatu’s massive moonsault nearly scored him the win, but interference from the MFTs turned the tide.
In a dramatic sequence, Tala Tonga handcuffed Fatu to the cage. But in a show of brute force, Fatu broke the cuffs, stopped Sikoa’s escape attempt, and regained control—only to be blindsided when Tonga slammed the cage door into his head. Sikoa took the opportunity to crawl out of the cage and retain.
Wrestling.news Grade: D
Despite strong performers and a solid buildup, the execution felt sluggish, and the crowd’s silence made it worse. Fatu’s post-match moonsault off the top of the cage was highlight-worthy—but didn’t salvage the match overall. Note: if Jacob Fatu wasn't a favorite of Randy Marston who is also from Sacramento, California (the founder of Wrestling.news) this match would have gotten a hard F.

Intercontinental Championship Match
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles - Dirty Dom retains his title
This was a technical showcase, with AJ bringing experience and aggression while Dominik relied on underhanded tactics. Styles hit a Brainbuster and teased the Styles Clash, but Dominik dodged and played possum, baiting the referee into missing a boot-assisted pin.
A sneaky roll-up with the ropes secured the victory for the champ.
Wrestling.news Grade: C
Clean sequences, but the crowd never fully got invested. A passable title defense with heelish flair.
Did that really just happen?! 👀

Undisputed WWE Championship – Street Fight
Cody Rhodes defeats John Cena to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion
In the most emotional match of the night, John Cena brought back the fire for one last title shot. The two legends tore each other apart with tables, steel steps, Slim Jim signs, and more. Cody kicked out of two Attitude Adjustments—one through a table—and Cena kicked out of multiple Cross Rhodes.
The turning point came after Cena showed signs of hesitation. Cody capitalized, delivering a final flurry of offense that ended with a third Cross Rhodes to retain the title.
After the match, Cena raised Cody’s hand in a sign of passing the torch—possibly signaling the final match of his iconic career.
Wrestling.news Grade: A+
An instant classic—pure emotion, brutal storytelling, and a perfect main event payoff.
But Wait… BROCK LESNAR?!
Just as Cody helped Cena to his feet and the fans serenaded him with heartfelt chants, the unthinkable happened.
Brock Lesnar’s music hit.
The crowd erupted in shock. Lesnar—previously thought to be completely blacklisted from WWE due to the Vince McMahon fallout—walked through the curtain with a stare colder than ice. The Beast circled the ring like a lion stalking its prey, eyes locked on John Cena.
Inside the ring, Cena stood his ground. The tension was nuclear. The two legends—each with nothing left to prove, but everything left to destroy—glared at one another.
Without a single word, Lesnar entered the ring and planted Cena with a devastating F-5. The impact echoed through Allegiant Stadium.
Lesnar’s music resumed, but no mic drop was needed. As Wade Barrett put it best on commentary:
“A message has been sent. Brock didn’t even have to speak.” - Michael Cole/WWE
The screen faded to black with the WWE/TKO logo in the corner, leaving the WWE Universe stunned in silence.

🎙️ Backstage Take – Wrestling.news
Wrestling.news reacts:
“Night 2 just couldn’t match Night 1—but Cody vs. Cena was an instant classic to end the show. Cena wrestling like he was in his prime and Cody’s emotional crowning moment? Legendary.”
Fatal Flaws: underwhelming crowd in Fatu/Sikoa and inconsistent pacing across key matches. Bright spots: brutal street-fight visuals, Lyra’s fearless debut run, and all‑out heat for Cody’s big win.
⭐ Final Word
SummerSlam Night 2 was a rollercoaster—early match precision and vicious No‑DQ action couldn’t sustain momentum. Still, Cody Rhodes' upswing headline moment delivered the kind of pure spectacle wrestling fans live for.
Wrestling.news gives it 3.5/5 rings overall—hot finish.
